PINReader is the software for reading and calculating the PIN code in all these models:

· The installation of the software is done automatically once you run the SetUpPinReader.exe(Download from www.carsofts.com -> download section). After finish the installation of the software, it is better to restart your PC. After restarting the PC, plug in the USB cable/Dongle (fro customers who use USB PINReader) or COM port (for customers who use COM PINReader). For customers who use USB PINReader after pluging the cable/Dongle in the USB port, you must see in DeviceManager on MyComputer - "PINReader www.CarSoftS.com".

For customers with COM PINReader cable/Dongle you must manually choose from Options(2) -> COM Number (20), the number of the COM Port where the COM PINReder cable/Dongle is plugged in. After choosing the right number of the Com port press IE(23) and the setting of the COM port is done.

For customers with USB PINReader these settings are done automatically.

There are two more important parameters in Options, which are set to the highest value – RepeatCount (21) and RxTimout(22). RepeatCount(21) – is the number of attempts which the software will make when wrong data is coming from the USB or COM Port cables/Dongles. RxTimout(22) – is the time for which the software will wait the data to come from the USB or COM Port cables/Dongles.

All changes can be saved with pressing OK(23) , or they can be cancelled with button Cancel(24). You can start working with the software after pressing button (1) “Connect to Dongle” ,you must see in the EditBox the “Dongle Serial #” and in the box „Controller ID#” – the software version of the Dongle.

After that you must choose from the menu “Model selector”(13) , the device that you want to read/diagnose – Dashboard , Immo Sustem1 , Airbag.

When you choose the device for communication (Dashboard , Immo Sustem1 eee Airbag), this will activate the buttons „Read PIN”(7) and „Read EEPROM”(3). After reading the Pin code, the 4 digits Pin code will be shown in editbox -> “PIN”(8).

After reading the Eeprom , it saves in a file for all models in the Pin Rreader directory. When read the Eprom successfully, it is shown in the Hex Editor box.
